JERADS3D asked:
This is a little project i did to share last years photos I took of the November 2008 VW Events in the Tampa Bay Area. I had an awesome time and look forward to doing it again. Look out for me in my Sea Blue 1966 Beetle with matching “Mini Canned Ham Style” Teardrop Sized Camper. I may have forgotten your name from last year but I should rememeber your face. Come say “Hi” to me at the show. See you all there.Websites for VW Clubs!

Wolfgirl asked: All the ones I’ve seen so far charge about Eur150 a day. I have a budget of about 500 for a week.
The driver is over 30, male, has a full Irish driving licence and about ten years no-claims bonus, if insurance costs come into it. We would be staying in Ireland (in October), no ferry rides or anything. And there’s just the two of us, so a small camper would be fine.
Any help appreciated!thewebservicescompany
Andy asked: ie. basically how long could i live on the side of the road, without having to go into an official campsite to replenish everything?? (assuming ONE person lives in the camper)thewebservicescompany

Bay Window Campers had “improvements” over pre-67 Split Screen or Spliltee Campers.
These were:
Larger and higher bay window
12 volt electrics
Improved suspension and handling
From 1972 the type 4 1700-2000cc engines provide more power
Some models had servo brakes
The pre-67’s differ from the Bay Window Campers thus:
Expect to put up with the quirks and limitations of a 40+ year old vehicle including…
6 volt electrics
Weaker 1200-1500cc engines
Smaller and lower split windscreen
