Not that you are not intending to *drive* it, merely own it and keep it stationary on your land.

Also, if it’s not going onto the road do you need to pay road tax?

you can own without a licence. yes.

No you wouldn’t need a license and no you wouldn’t need to pay tax.

However you would need both if someone is going to drive it for you to get it where you want to keep it on your land, unless you use some sort of transporter.

No you can own a vehicle without a licence, and if it is off the road you have to make a SORN declaration then no road tax is payable.

  • Jack Hackett said:

Nope, no licence needed. Declare it as SORN to the DVLA so you don’t have to pay tax.

If you keep it on private land and never take it on the road the answer is NO to both questions but you may need planning permission to keep it permanently on your land.

You can own any motor vehicle without a licence or road tax.

However, you obviously wouldnt be able to drive it or have it on any public highway (but you stated you had no intention of doing that so no problems there).

Just a note though, if you where indending on having someone drive it to the location where it is to be stored you would need road tax for that period but other then that what you are suggesting is perfectly fine.

    Hiya Honey !

You do NOT need a licence to own a camper van ! That applies to ANY vehicle so long as you don;t actually drive it on public roads.

IF the camper van is static on your own land you do NOT need road tax on it. You only pay road fund licence (tax) if you intend to use it on the public highway.
