Martin S asked:

Hi, Im looking to travel for a month in the US with three mates, we would ideally like to rent a campervan but we are not sure if our licenses will be good enough. Two of us are 25 years old and have held our full UK licences for 6 years now, however we do not have any upgrades on our licences, for example we can drive cars and mopeds here. Will we need to upgrade to be able to drive a campervan or will these be enough?

Many Thanks

Martin

Why not just get International driving licences in U.K?

You can get them through RAC or RAA, I think.

Your UK license will be fine. The International driving permit is useless in the US unless required by the rental agency. Any extra requirements as far as licenses go will be up to the rental agency.
