Been offered a VW Van!  Needs Work Though…

Hi, I have been offered an old campervan but it needs work on it, because of that I can’t park on road yet and was hoping someone can help? I need a off road space for about 1month.
I am also looking for someone to share ownwership. upto 3 of us so u would get to use the van 4-6mths a year.

I Want to Buy a Campervan!

So, I want something which is a little bit of a project – something which I can use as a toy at the weekends.
I am currently liking the idea of a VW Camper Van – a Classic one….

Thing is – some come expensive some come cheap – I know the expensive ones are re-con’s and also you can buy a brand new one from Brazil – built by VW Brazil.

Help! My Carb is Jetting! Why?

Twin carbs are abit new to me and would like to try and get to understand them better.
ive sort of grasped the concept into the idle,linkage setting etc but strugling to understand the jetting side of things.
Is there a ‘law’ to it?..ie if you run this with this fuel etc you need this jet?
For example..im running a 1915 with kad40’s..009..plan to ditch this for a vac advance dizi….mechanical fuel pump and run on 98 fuel
my bus has a flat stop on gear change and will sometimes pop and sputter on …

Advice on buying a classic VW Beetle

Ive recently grown a serious appreciation for these cars and im thinking of investing in one… (either that or a classic midengined car..something like a Fiat X1/9 maybe)
However I have no idea what to look out for with these cars.. ive got a rough idea that a 1303s with 1.6 in might be something im looking for… but then my mate said that the shape of the windscreen is something to pay attention too (bubble or flatscreen?!).
